World's First Introduced Bike.....

Motorcycle History begins in the second half of the 1800s. Motorcycles are descended from the "Safety Bicycle," with front and rear wheels of the same size and a pedal crank mechanism to drive.

Gottlieb Wilhelm
Daimler (March 17, 1834 - March 6, 1900)

Gottlieb an engineer, industrial designer and industrialist was born in Germany.

Wilhelm Maybach

Pioneer of Internal-Combustion Engines and Automobile Development.

Daimler and his lifelong business partner Wilhelm Maybach were two inventors whose dream was to create small, high speed engines to be mounted in any kind of locomotion device. In 1885, they invented Modern Petrol Engine which they subsequently fitted to a two-wheeler, Inventing World’s First Motorcycle, in the next year, they invented a stagecoach, and a boat.

Later, in 1885, German Gottlieb Daimler founded Daimler Motoren Gesellschaft (DMG) and invented the First Motorcycle which was an engine attached to a wooden frame.They sold their first automobile in 1892.

Daimler due to bad health had to take break from the company.After recovery he started facing difficulty with the other Stock Holders that led to his Resignation in 1893 .Soon May Bach resigned .Both partners returned back to join the company, but, In 1900 Daimler
died and Maybach quit DMG in 1907.

Karl Benz's

In1924, the DMG management signed a long term co-operation agreement with Karl Benz's Benz & Cie., and in 1926 the two companies merged to become Daimler-Benz AG, which is now part of Daimler AG.

First Commercial Motorcycle

The Hildebrand & Wolfmüller became the 1St motorcycle available to the public for purchase in 1894. However, they were able to manufacture few hundred of this motorcycle. Soon, as the engines became more powerful and designs outgrew the bicycle origins, the number of motorcycle-oriented manufactures increased.

As bikes were invented in Germany by Daimler, but Daimler was not the only person who manufactures bikes.

Two Former Bicycle Racers founded The Indian Motorcycle Manufacturing Company, in 1904 the so-called "diamond framed" Indian Single, Engine was built by the Aurora Firm in Illinios. The Single was made available in the deep red color that would become Indian's trademark. By then in 1913, Indian's production was up to over 500 bikes annually and would rise to 32,000, its best ever.
